Minestra di lenticchie (Lentils soup)


  • 500 gr. lentils
  • 300 gr. short size pasta
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 5 ripe tomatoes
  • 100 gr. grated pecorino cheese
  • celery
  • 1 onion.
  • olive oil, salt and pepper

Leave lentils in water for a night. Cook in a lot of water with chopped onions and celery, salt and pepper.

Apart, Cook smash garlic half onion in half cup olive oil , and add peeled and seedless tomatoes. When the sauce is cooked, pour drained lentils, make it boil and cook for 10 minutes.

Cook pasta, drain well and add to lentils. Cook for few minutes, let it stand for a while and serve with grated pecorino cheese on top.
