"Acqua Pi a" baths 365 m. above the sea-level there are the well-known Acqua Pia baths. The facility is open from March to November and you can reach it driving along the A29 highway (Palermo-Mazara del Vallo) exiting to Santa Ninfa. The legend tells that two young shepherds from the Belice Valley, Cinzio and Corinzia, wore the white ceremony vests and went to the Holy Spring, a hot water spring flowing from under the ground.

Once they accomplished the sacred rituals, they went away hoping to keep with them the immortality which the never-ending flow of the water had given them. Even if many centuries have passed, the hot waters still flow and benefit those who bathe there.
