For 4 people: 300 grams of flour, 125 grams of butter, 50 grams of sugar, 1 tablespoon Marsala wine, 300 grams of dried figs, raisins 200 grams, 100 grams of sultanas, 50 grams of walnuts, 30 grams of pine nuts, 30 grams of candied orange peel, 50 grams of sugar, 3 cloves.


Mix butter, sugar, flour and a tablespoon of Marsala and mix well. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin after settling for about an hour.

Filling: dried figs, raisins, sultanas, almonds, pine nuts, candied orange, the sugar, cloves and a pinch of pepper.

Grind all the filling ingredients finely mixing them with a little sugar.

After wrapping the filling into the prepared dough and form a donut and practiced small incisions on it.

Bake for twenty minutes after brushed with egg yolk.

Once cooled, decorate with icing sugar, chopped pistachios and candied fruit.
