Aci Bonaccorsi (Zip Code 95020) is 211 Km. distant from Agrigento, 139 Km. from Caltanissetta, 12 Km. from Catania, which is the province it belongs to, 108 Km. from Enna, 84 Km. from Messina, 261 Km. from Palermo, 116 Km. from Ragusa, 70 Km. from Siracusa, 368 Km. from Trapani.

The municipality counts 2.500 inhabitants, its surface measures 170 hectares, and its population density counts 1470 inhabitants per square kilometre.
It rises over a coastal hilly area, 362 meters above the sea-level.

A charming agricultural center, Aci Bonaccorsi boasts a conspicuous production of citrus fruits and grapes. The production of local cheeses is substantial, and they are exhibited at the annual Sagra della Ricotta (ricotta cheese festival) inclusive of other typical Sicilian cheeses.
Also, the Plants and Flowers Exhibit is interesting, and it takes place every year in the months of April and May.

The name Aci Bonaccorsi derives from the ancient district called Bonaccorsi that, along with the towns Paoli, Leoni, and Battiati, originated the current town back in the XVI century.
Information regarding this suburb is available only as of 1170 or so. Since the XIV century, the suburb belonged to the Princes of Campofiorito; in 1625 it was owned by the noble Diana family who were appointed the title of Marquis, and who beheld the town until the abolition of the feudal rights.
The most outstanding monuments are the Chiesa della Consolazione rich of frescoes from 1700, and the Fountain built in 1952, with the "Scogli dei Ciclopi" (the Cyclops' reefs) in relief.
