The Cathedral Church The Church raises in the historic centre of the small town and was immediately consecrated to the patron of the village San Gregorio Magno (St. Gregory Magnus). Its building dates to a period antecedent the XVI century. This date is suggested by the presence in its outside structure of Gothic and Catalan elements like in the case of the elegant main door.

The inside shows three naves and are still now kept original works of art. Among these worthy of particular attention for beauty and elegance are some paintings attributable to Filippo Paladini (1544-1641) which are set in alternative way in the naves. In direction of the left aisle, it is possible to admire the late-Baroque chapel with wooden ceiling whose meticulous and precious working is attributable to Bonaiuto (1794-?). |
