Tourism in Cerami
During the centuries Cerami was the final destination for many people and the remains in this archaeological site are the evidence of their passage.
First of all, the remains of a Bronze Age pre-historic village, which includes oval huts.
Later, the remains of a settlement dated back to the Classical Greek age have been excavated, right in the same area where subsequently a Medieval community was founded.
Further excavations have discovered structures dated back to the Byzantines and archaeological material from the Hellenistic civilisation and the early Roman Imperial Age.
