Tourism in Gagliano Castelferrato
The church was built in the 14th century and dedicated to the town patron saint, St. Cataldo, as a symbol for the citizens' devotion.
It was built next to the area where once the castle stood.
The church, as many others of that time, underwent much restoring in the late 16th century.

In its interior there are classical sacred furnishings, like many other churches in the area.
Amongst the works of art inside, we mention a tabernacle attributed to Gagini's school, and a beautifully carved wooden choir, dated back to the 18th century.
