Biviratizzi. Breedings present are cattle, horse, pig and sheep ones which
benefit from wide areas used to pasture.
The name of the small town derives from several mines of alum present in
the territory and it means cliff of alum. The first village was founded by
knight Don Giovanni La Rocca in 1608 and his family has been its owner
for all the century and has had judiciali power both on life and on death over
all of inhabitants. Later the feud came to Lancia family. In the XVIII
century the village was residence of Ardoinos and then of Moncadas who
has ruled it till the abolition of feudal duties.
The most interesting monuments are the so-called "Torre di Sollima" a
tower in Saracen style with battlements and dates back to the XV century
and the Church dedicated to Arcangelo Michele.
