Sant'Angelo di Brolo Brolo (Zip Code 98060) is 250 km. distant from Agrigento, 204 km. from Caltanissetta, 145 km. from Catania, 163 km. from Enna, 105 km. from Messina, which province it belongs to, 176 km. from Palermo, 249 km. from Ragusa, 203 km. from Siracusa, 275 km. from Trapani.
The municipality has 4.268 inhabitants and an area of 3.022 hectares for a population density of 141 inhabitants per square kilometre. It rises on a hilly area along the coast and is 314 metres above sea-level.

Products mostly cultivated are citrus fruit, grain, vegetables, olives, hazel-nuts, fruit. Typical craftmade production consists of wood, copper, wrought iron works, wickerworks and embroideries.
The name of the village derives from the church of Sant'Angelo and from medieval Latin "Brolum" (cultivated field). The commune has undergone for a long time feudal dinasty of abbots of Monastery of St. Michele. It reached it best development between XVI and XVII century thanks to the start of silk production. Two more well-to-do families, Amato and Angotta, benefited from it.
The village is full of monuments and the most interesting are the Cathedral Church with a splendid cut portal, the church of SS. Filippo and Giacomo where the noble family of Amato fixed its familiar chapel and the abbey of St. Michele Arcangelo, wanted by count Roger of Altavilla at the end of the XI century. Of the same period is the Castle with a tower placed in Piano Croce locality.
Sant'Angelo di Brolo is famous in Sicily for quality of its salami (sapitazza di Sant'Angilu) and from 3 to 6 August is announced an annual festival of salami by commune.
