The wine to Casteldaccia
Being in this village is interesting to visit the wineries and taste the sweet and typical local wines.
These products include the worl-wide famous Corvo di Salaparuta.
The Corvo di Salaparuta was born in 1824 by the will of Giuseppe Alliata, who challenged with an innovative product his contemporaries.
The initiative passed then to his son Edward, who founded the first winery in Casteldaccia importing directly the machineries from France and then to grandson Henry, who made apprenticeship at the renowned winery Jean Lescombe, Sauternes.
From their example of fidelity to tradition and breadth of views are today available cellar treasures of the highest level: the aristocratic reserve Duca Enrico Henry and Bianca Valguarnera, the sparkling wine Duca di Salaparuta Brut, at the ancient wine-liquor Ala.
