Tourism in Isnello
Isnello, a renowned winter resort, has kept intact in time the original medieval town-planning.
Also the beautiful Cathedral Church which raise in the oldest area of the town (Terravecchia) symbolizes linearity of medieval architecture.
It was built near 1200 but of the original structure now only few elements are visible. In fact it more times has been altered.

Inside it there are three naves with corresponding chapels. In the chapel dedicated to Addolorata (Our Lady of Sorrows) there are splendid frescoes made by Antonio Ferraro (1552-1598) and a big canvas which represents La Pietà painted by the artist Giuseppe Salerno (1570-1632).
In the presbytery, stuccoed in a very precious way by Giuseppe Li Volsi (XVII century), there is a magnificent choir in inlaid wood produced by Federico di Marco and Giacomo Mangio (XVII century).
From Isnello it is possible to enjoy a very beautiful panoramic view which opens over the below valley and emphasizes its geographic position, placed on a cliff and half laid down on a slope towards mount Grotta Grande.
