Tourism in Giarratana
From the bell-towers of the massive churches of Giarratana, you can enjoy the nice pattern of the large and straight streets lining the small buildings.
The town, situated on the slope of a mountain, in its higher part still keep the old structure and the nice streets paved in stone.
The splendid Mother Church, characterized by the absence of the right bell-tower, dominates Piazza del Municipio.

The church has a late Renaissance facade with very large external walls. Inside, there is the main bell and the golden and silver furnishings donated by Marquis of Giarratana to the church.
Artistically very important are the paintings which adorn the church walls, such as the Annunziata by Marcello Viery, dating back to 1790, with simple and delicate images.
The Statue of the Saints are also valuable: the statue of S. Joseph, with its intense expressiveness, and the wooden statue of S. Bartholomew.
