In Porto Grande there are two tourist harbour run by Banchina Foro Italico and by C.N. Isola 86. The first one is a commercial port, the second one consist of chain catenary mooring and surface buoy mooring, with 20 berths and 80 berths with minimal depth of 4 meters and 2 meters, indeterminate maximum length for the first harbour and a maximum length of 12 meters for the second one. Landing piers provide mooring, water and light.
In Porto Piccolo there are three tourist harbour run by Approdo Santa Lucia, by C. V Ribellino and by Lega Navale Italiana.
The first one is a floating wharves, the other ones are of Navy, with 130 berths, 150 berths and 300 berths with minimal depth of 3 meters, 2 meters and 3.5 meters, a maximum length of 16 meters, 12 meters and 18 meters. Landing piers provide mooring, water, light and hygienic services.
Arenella is an hamlet which belongs to Siracusa, has a small tourist harbour run by C.V. Costa del Sole consisting of chain catenary mooring and surface buoy mooring with 50 berths with minimal depth of two meters and a maximum length of 16 meters. Landing piers provide information point and hygienic services.
Fontane Bianche is an hamlet which belongs to Siracusa, has a small tourist harbour run by Circolo del Giardino, consisting of beach equipped for a 120 berths with minimal depth of 4 meters and a maximum length of 12 meters. Landing piers provide mooring, water, vigilance, information point, hygienic services and slipways.
Ognina is an hamlet which belongs to Siracusa, has two tourist harbours are run by C.V. Ognina and by Club Nautico Ognina.
The first one consist of chain catenary mooring and surface buoy mooring and the second harbour consist of floating wharves, with 11 berths and 70 berths with minimal depth of one meter, a maximum length of 6 meters and 10 meters. Landing piers provide mooring, water, light, vigilance, parking and slipways.
The town of Siracusa is crossed by the highway 114 connecting Siracusa to Messina, by the highway 115 connecting Trapani to Siracusa and by the highway 124 connecting the city to crossroad of Gigliotto (S. Cono - En).
It is planned the construction of a motorway connecting Catania with Siracusa and Gela. This motorway will be completed by the end of year 2005.
The nearest motorway is the A19 connecting Palermo to Catania. It is a freeway and has two lanes plus an emergency lane in both directions.
The motorway A19 provides the following service areas:
- Caracoli between Termini Imerese junction and industrial area;
- Scillato between Buonfornello junction and Scillato junction;
- Sacchitello between Enna junction and Mulinello junction;
- Gelso Bianco at Motta Sant'Anastasia junction
