Text and Direction Giovanni Montanti Ancient sounds are heard in the peasant suburbs spread throughout the spacious, wavy valleys that extend from the Sparagio Mountain to the hills facing Erice, the sea, and the Egadi Islands. On the fertile and glittery soil of this strip of Sicily, mankind has spontaneously created in time a rural and urban territorial system, thus allowing the development of a made to measure civilization. An archipelago of socially, economically, and culturally homogeneous suburbs, in which tourists may quench their thirst of history, nature, landscapes..., silence; Buseto Palazzolo proudly defends its peasant culture and its traditions, immortalizing them for those who wish to discover the times that once were, and for those interested in discovering the substratum of their own identity.

Text Giacomo Pilati On Palm Sunday, Buseto Palizzolo offers a grand show of faith and culture. Fifteen scenes of the martyrdom, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ are represented by living characters, in an evocative itinerary throughout the entire town. Buseto Palazzolo's Procession of Mysteries initiates the performances held during Holy Week in Trapani, each year becoming an introduction of greater interest. The desire to identify the town through this form of expression is what originates Buseto Palizzolo's Via Crucis Procession; this procession is a very strong identity statement, it lives through the lecture of the Holy Scriptures, and is capable of maintaining its uniqueness regardless of the many other performances, while respecting the traditions. The mute characters re-enact the last events of Jesus' life, within a mobile scenic structure that complies with the landscape's constant variations. The global effect is even more remarkable considering that the procession takes place during the night. The shadows, the expressions on the characters' faces, and the music create suggestive environments, and great emotional participation. Born in 1982, the originality of Buseto's "Mysteries" has earned an important space among the Holy performances of Sicily's Easter season throughout the years.

Authors: Maria Rosaria Falcone and Romilda Nicotra "The territory of Trapani has numerous characteristics tied one to the other that constitute the same spirit of this province. Ecology, traditions, architecture, beaches, gastronomy, archaeology, mystery, history, adventure, handicraft, culture represent a single chain connecting all the centers and all people. The monumental, artistic and archaeological patrimony of this earth is immense. Prehistoric coves, rests of mysterious people, Punic locations, Byzantine, Arab, Norman, Baroque, Renaissance and modern architecture. A sweet, wild, gorgeous nature surronds the human work. Beautifulst gulfs, golden beaches, wild water reefs, course, sweet valleys, imposing mountains, lacustrine sites, natural reservoirs, salt magical yields from the games of the sun, volcanic islands. The only true defect of the province of Trapani is that it does not enter all in a suitcase." The authors collected in this volume the genuine soul of this splendid location, along with beautifulst pictures and a lot of useful information such as timetables, lodges, restaurants, stores and a calendar for events covering each month of the year.

Text and Direction Giovanni Montanti Made by Municipality of Buseto Palizzolo and by GAL Ericyna Tellus In the westernmost part side of Sicily, at the centre of an area featuring important tourist destinations, an undulating valley extends from Mount Sparagio (the highest point of Trapani) to the hills that overlook Erice, the sea and the Egadi islands. Here, we are in Buseto Palizzolo, a welcoming place where everything tells a piece of the history of this land. Its ultra centenarian farming production, its perfumes and colours of fruits with unforgettable flavours, its craft made by small and medium industries, all of these things represents the crowning point of the economy of Sicily where it is still possible to live on a human scale. In Buseto Palizzolo, during the course of the year, in order to promote and sustain its industry and to protect its cultural and religious values that forms an integral part of its history, special events come one after the other giving an additional value to the development of this community.
