Festa della Madonna Tagliavia a Vita

The Town Hall is placed in piazza St. Francesco, tel. ++39 0924-955555 fax. ++39 0924-955147.

Small agricultural centre its products include cereals, grapes and vegetables.

The village rises on the south-eastern foot of mount St. Giuseppe. It was founded by Vito Sicomo in 1604 on the outskits of a country house already extant in Middle Ages.

It was built on a territory that belonged to Calatafimi's feud. The name of the small town perhaps derives from its founder "Vito" or perhaps from the patron's name St. Vito. It was destroyed by the Belice earthquake of 1968 and was entirely rebuilt in the same place and in the same way.

The town-planning belongs to 1700, it is made of mixed partitions (at court and at stick) with expansions of 1800.

Near the centre is placed a comfortable park: Bosco della Baronia (Wood of the Barony).
