Guided tours to the Museum of the salt and to the salt pans are available, so to know both the history of the salt pans of Marsla as well as the way of making the salt.

In the Stagnone lagoon can be visited the ancient and Phoenician Isle of Mothia. The town of Mothia (also known as Mozia) was destroyed in 397 B.C. by Dionysus the Old, despot of Siracusa. The inhabitants moved from the town to Lilybeo, the today's Marsala.

Mothia is rich of archeological finds. In the local Museum, built in the isle by the Whitaker family, more than ten thousand archeological finds are presented. The most famous archeological find is the so called "Auriga", a Greek statue dating back to the fiftieth century b.C.

Canoes or kayaks can be rent so to know the splendid coasts near the Bed & Breakfast La Finestra sul Sale.
