The province of Agrigento counts 474.493 inhabitants. Its surface covers 3041.169 squared kilometers, the population density is therefore 156 inhabitants for square kilometer.

Infrastructures
The street network consists of state roads for approximately 540 kilometers, provincial roads for 1.000 kilometers, communal roads for 260 kilometers and regional roads for 56 kilometers. The railway connection consists of a single railroad, 55% of which is equipped for electric trains.This unavoidably involves long times of distance. Equally devoid it is the situation of the ports: the services for the lack the goodses lack, al well as taken of fuel and of drinkable water, no shuttle buses are available for the traffic of the tourists who use the ferries.
